PC Arthur John Wright, 1888-1979. Son of James Wright
and Ellen Wright née Huxtable.
Arthur was sick and did not participate in the police strike of 1919, which had strong support in Liverpool. When on his return to work, he found that colleagues were being victimised for their participation in the strike, he joined action in support of them, and was sacked as a result.
